Modernismo in motion

THE CLIENT

Temis Galindo, a traditionally trained shoemaker, sought a logo for her new handmade shoe company, Volver Workshop. She wanted the design to reflect Barcelona's rich Modernismo aesthetic, particularly Antoni Gaudí's organic shapes inspired by natural elements like smoke and water.

THE RESULT

We created a hand-drawn logotype that mirrored the artisanal quality of Volver's shoes. Founded in Barcelona, Spain, we looked to local vernacular signage, to developed a set of unique letterforms. The design process was collaborative, with Temis selecting her favorite letters from various options laid out on paper. The final logo, bold and distinctive, captures the spirit of Volver's shoe designs - a little weird and completely unique. It celebrates individual expression and craftsmanship, values shared by both Volver and our design approach. The addition of "WORKSHOP" by other designers further emphasized the collaborative nature of the brand.
